Do You Support and Attend a New Testament Church?

The original Church of Christ was established on the Day of Pentecost when the Apostle Peter preached the first gospel message (Acts 2). Jesus taught His Apostles how His Church was to worship and the doctrines they were to teach. His true Church is one that follows those Apostolic doctrines with no additions or subtractions. True Christianity is governed by the teachings of Jesus and His Apostles. Does the church you support and attend follow those doctrines?

If so, please direct me to the New Testament scriptures that authorize the following practices of some churches:

  • Female pastors and/or elders

  • Unrepentant homosexual ministers/pastors

  • Clergy and laity

  • Church conventions/organizations/synods to approve doctrines to be taught

  • One church denomination is as good as another (Ecumenicalism)

  • Instrumental music in worship

  • Baptism not necessary for salvation

  • Unrepentant homosexuality

  • Same sex marriage

  • Transgenderism

  • Abortion

If you cannot find those scriptures, why do you support and attend that church? Consider the inspired words of the Apostle Paul to the young minister, Timothy:

2 Timothy 4:2-4 (NASB)

2 preach the word; be ready [a]in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and [b]exhort, with [c]great patience and instruction. 3 For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires, 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
